Create an Audio Powerpoint

Make an audio and/or film presentation where you discuss the ideas behind your project, showing that you can communicate verbally effectively.
Refer closely to what inspired your ideas.
This will be posted on your blog and questions will be posted under it, asking you to explain.
You can use images and text shown in other powerpoints and amongst the work in your blog.

You have to speak on this as this is an alternative to speaking in front of the class.

New: Assessment and Homework Log - to help you get organised!

In class this week you will be introduced to a new tracking document which you are to use between school and home.

You will be asked to comment on your homework set, attendance/punctuality and to comment on which tasks in the brief you have done or still to do.

These 2 tabs are within one spread sheet and will need to be uploaded to GoogleDrive each time you update them so that you always know work set!

This is the task log - ticklist for all tasks on brief until end of Jan

This is the homework log - to be completed in class

This is your chance to show you are organised and independent!

HOMEWORK over half term

C6D and C6C - due Thurs 7th Nov

1.Finish all photoshoots for made up artists (at least 2 for now)

2.Add all photos to blog within a PAGE called “PHOTOSHOOTS” adding dates taken

3.45 MINS - Within a blog post, sum up / evaluate what all your questionnaires taught you about what you target audience wants from music magazines. You should have at least 10 completed, if not, collect more in some way. Last resort, print out and give people pens to fill them out and enter data to Excel in columns for each answer.

Do this using diagrams  (pie charts in Excel etc) and bullet points
  • You do not have to do a diagram for every question, so choose at least 5 questions which are the most important to consider.

Conclude how their responses will effect your decisions in your project

•If you want to totally re-do your questionnaires, consider using http://kwiksurveys.com/ and promoting questionnaire via Facebook to friends. This is better than Surveymonkey as you can ask more questions.

What magazine do you prefer?                      What genre of music do you prefer?

Music Blogs / Online Music Mags to Check Out

As I have told a lot of you this week, to plan and make pages for a fictional music magazine and present your own photos, you need a convincing knowledge of the genre and what music is out there in your preferred genre. You need to do research to ensure quality in that area.

If like me, you like reading blogs, to make it easier to keep up with them all, there are some tools to make it easier.
  • You can follow them on Twitter and their latest news will show up on a newsfeed. You can follow Twitter using an app on your phone and ipad. You can 're-tweet' or 'RT' to share with friends.
  • You can go to BlogLovin - http://www.bloglovin.com/ - open an account and it will put it all in a newsfeed for you. I have managed to put a tab linked to it on the browser of my laptop so I can go straight to it. I have added a 'Blog lovin button' to my blog so others can follow mine, perhaps you could too!
Like this:

Follow on Bloglovin

  • You can obviously bookmark them on your computer / ipad.
  • You can sign up to get email updates if possible.\

Please 'keep tabs' on the blogs below, depending on your preferred music.
